Join YAYmates on the first Monday in August for another fabulous FREE Artists Social!

In August the group will be embracing the flawed and imperfect through the Japanese art of Kintsugi. Hosted by Charlotte Robinson, this form of craft encapsulates the mental health and wellbeing aspect of her company 'Minus Cloud Nine'.

Kintsugi is the art of using gold dust and lacquer to attach broken pieces of ceramic with minimal overlap or 'fill-in' from missing pieces. This mindful artform allows us to embrace the history of a treasured possession, while highlighting a 'break' as a story of it's past as something beautiful and meaningful.

The session is from 6.00pm - 8.00pm on 7th August and we are also happy to announce that Charlotte will be speaking during the tea break about the 'Changemakers' programme which is being run by Metal this year for Brentwood creatives. So definitely not to be missed for your mental wellbeing - and 'Metal' wellbeing...

This workshop is free, and materials will be provided. Make sure you book to avoid disappointment!
