Welcome note from Sarah Walmsley, Brentwood Connected BID Manager, in the January 2025 newsletter: In our first members’ newsletter, I’m really pleased to highlight some of the recent activities and initiatives we’ve brought to Brentwood, Shenfield and Ingatestone in our first year and beyond. Our four key themes of improving, promoting, welcoming and connecting places have driven the Board’s plans and, with almost 500 member businesses, exciting things are ahead for our Business Improvement District...

After a successful procurement process, we’re pleased to announce that our Brentwood Connected Town Rangers are here to stay.

Feedback from businesses since they joined in July has been overwhelmingly positive and we are thrilled to permanently welcome Chelsie, Luke and the team from Stambridge Group to the business community across Brentwood, Shenfield and Ingatestone.

They will continue to work across all three areas to create a safe and welcoming environment, engaging with businesses and helping to address anti-social behaviour and shoplifting.

Brentwood Connected delivered free family-friendly event days in our three High Streets in November and December.

Lighting Up Brentwood, in partnership with Brentwood Borough Council, attracted thousands to Brentwood High Street to see live entertainment across multiple stages, enjoy festive activities and watch the Christmas light switch-on.

We also introduced a new and improved Christmas lights scheme in 2024 which extended to Ongar Road and Kings Road, highlighting our businesses in those areas.

Festive Shenfield was the perfect mix of musical performances and food and drink from Hutton Road businesses, encouraging visitors to support local and getting them in the Christmas spirit.

It was safety first in Ingatestone and, although we had to change our outdoor plans for Ingatestone Christmas Market day due to Storm Darragh, the High Street was busy with visitors eating, drinking and enjoying our free festive activities. Thanks to all the businesses who supported our Christmas events.

We’re supporting the Bakers Brentwood Half Marathon on Sunday 23 March 2025.

This is an event which attracts thousands of people to Brentwood High Street. If your business would like to organise a special offer for visitors, please email us.
